Description: As part of Canary update 3.x.5 and onwards, the file share now allows you to create multiple shares on a single Canary. As well as adding Windows System Shares (ADMIN$, C$ and IPC$) to the Canary.

An added bonus is our industry-specific generator feature, which also allows you to create realistic file share folder structures in a few clicks. Simply pick an industry and we'll create the entire share for you - more information on this here

Note: A maximum of 10 additional shares can be added per Canary.

Step 1:

Log in to your Console.

Step 2:

Click on the Canary you want to configure the Windows File Share on.

Note: we have selected the ZACTFS01 Canary.

Step 3:

Click on the gear icon (Configure Canary) to configure this Canary.

Step 4:

1 - Scroll down to the Windows File Share and ensure it is enabled.

2 - "Click" on + Add share to add an additional share to your Canary.

3 - Optional setting - enabling System Shares will create the ADMIN$, C$ and IPC$ Windows system shares.

Note: A maximum of 10 additional shares can be added per Canary.

Step 5:

1 - Give your additional share a Share Name.

Note: We named the Share Name - Finance.

2 - Add a Share Comment.

Note: We made the Share Comment - Finance Share.

Step 6:

Once you've made the changes you will then need to scroll down to the bottom of the configuration page and click on Deploy new configuration.

Step 7:

Your new configuration will be pushed down to your Canary. Once it gets to 100%, your Canary will reboot and connect back to your Console with the new configuration.
