When a Flock is full, new Canaries can be saved into that Flock's pending queue instead of being commissioned immediately. As soon as a slot becomes available, pending Canaries will be commissioned automatically. Pending Canaries do not use a license on your Console.
Follow the steps below to enable a Flock Canary limit, assign new Canaries to that Flock's pending queue, and view pending Canaries for that Flock.
Enabling the Canary limit
Step 1: Open your Flock settings
Step 2: Enable the Flock Canary limit
Your flock now has a Canary limit enabled! By default the limit is set to the current number of Canaries in the Flock (unless you previously set a higher limit in this Flock).
Assigning a Canary as pending
When adding a new Canary, you can assign it to a Flock even if that Flock is full.
Step 1: Select the full Flock
In the the commission dialog, select the Flock from the dropdown:
Step 2: Save the Canary to the pending queue
Click the Save to Queue button to add the Canary to the flock's pending queue:
Viewing a Flock's Pending queue
When a flock is full and has pending Canaries, you can view those Canaries by opening the Flock's pending queue.
Open your Flock and click the hourglass button:
You can now view pending Canaries in this flock, move them to other flocks, or permanently remove them:
