To get started on ignore-listing you will need to obtain your private DNS domain (see Step 1). You will then use the private DNS domain and ignore-list it in Cisco Umbrella (see Steps 2 to 5).
Step 1:
1.1 Login to your console and make a note of the console's DNS name:
1.2 Grab the first part of the URL (in the picture above, simply grab XXXXX)
1.3 Append .cnr.io to the address obtained in (1.2) (XXXXX.cnr.io) This is your private DNS domain.
Step 2:
Step 3:
Click on "Destination Lists" from the dashboard menu on the left-hand side under "Policies"
Step 4:
Click on "Global Allow List"
Step 5:
5.1. Ensure that the "Domains on this list will be" is set to "Allowed"
5.2. Add your console private DNS domain under "Domains"
5.3. Click on "+ PRESS ENTER TO ADD" to add your console private DNS domain to the list
5.4. Click on "Save" to finish adding your console private DNS domain
You have just successfully ignore-listed your Canary Console on Cisco Umbrella.
