To get started on ignore-listing you will need to obtain your private DNS domain (see Step 1). You will then use the private DNS domain and ignore-list it in Cisco Umbrella (see Steps 2 to 5).
Step 1: Get your Console's DNS Name
1. Login to your Console and make a note of the Console's DNS name:
2. Grab the first part of the URL (in the picture above, simply grab XXXXX)
3. Append .cnr.io to the address obtained in (1.2) (XXXXX.cnr.io) This is your private DNS domain.
Step 2: Sign in to Cisco Umbrella
Click here to go to the Cisco Umbrella login page.
Step 3: Check Destination List
Click on Destination Lists from the dashboard menu on the left-hand side under Policies.
Step 4: Check Global Allow List
Click on Global Allow List.
Step 5: Add Your Console Private DNS Domain
- Ensure that the Domains on this list will be is set to Allowed.
- Add your Console private DNS domain under Domains.
- Click on + PRESS ENTER TO ADD to add your Console private DNS domain to the list.
- Click on Save to finish adding your Console private DNS domain.
You have just successfully ignore-listed your Canary Console on Cisco Umbrella.
