Your Hardware Canaries feature a status LED on them to let you know how they're feeling.
Note
This LED also serves as a button to put the Canary into configuration mode.
Where do I find it?
You'll find it pretty easily, it's the bright light near the Bird's beak:
What do the colours mean?
Colour | Meaning |
---|---|
Purple | Booting into config mode. |
Blue | Configuration mode is running. Bluetooth is enabled and device discoverable. |
Orange | Booting into production mode. |
Green | All systems go! Canary is in contact with the Console. |
Red | Canary is running but cannot reach the Console. Typically caused by network issues or the birds not yet being commissioned on the Console. |
Flashing Red and Blue | Canary is running but it does not have a network connection. Caused by the network cable being unplugged or failing link speed negotiation. |
Flashing Red | Error! Canary is no longer providing services. |
