Enabling notifications allows alerts to be sent directly to you from your Console as an alert is triggered. You can enable email and/or SMS notifications. You can add multiple email addresses and numbers to each field.
Email addresses and contact numbers can be added to these fields even though the recipients may not have access to the Console. This gives you a way to send notifications to your team without giving them access to your Console.
Follow the steps below to enable email and/or SMS notifications:
Step 1: Log in to your Console
Step 2: Open Global Settings
- Click on the gear icon.
- Click on Global Settings.
Step 3: Set up alert notifications
Enable email and/or SMS notifications.
Operational Email Notifications: Folks added to this list will get an email anytime an operational alert is triggered. Operational alerts include Canary Disconnects/Reconnects, Canary Settings Changed, Console Settings Changed and Flock Setting's Changed.
Step 4: Add contacts
Add each email address and contact number, and then click Save.
