How do I setup watcher access on a Flock?

Learn how to grant read-only access to specific Flocks in your Canary Console by assigning users as Watchers. This guide covers both Global and Flock-specific user management for tailored access control.

You have the ability to set a user to only have access to specific Flocks on your Console.

Follow the steps below to give a user watcher access to a Flock:

1. User Management — this can only be done by Global Admins
2. A specific Flock

Step 1: Log in to your Console

Step 2: Open User Management

1. Click on the Gear icon at the top right corner of your Console.
2. Click User Management.

Step 3: Change User Access Level

1. Select the user you want to change the access level for.

We selected jim@inyoni-corp.com.

2. Select the Regular user option.

3. Under Select managed Flock, select the Flock from the list that the user should have access to.

We selected the "Cape Town" Flock.

The user will now have Watcher access to the Cape Town Office Flock.

The next time the Watcher logs in, they will only have access to the Flock you've given them access to.

Step 1: Log in to your Console

Step 2: Choose Flock

Select the Flock you want to add a manager to.

Step 3: Open Flock Settings

Click on the gear Flock settingson the top right corner of the Flock tab.

Step 4: Select User Email

Click on the drop-down box and select the email of the user you want to view this Flock.

The next time the Watcher logs in, they will only have access to the Flock you've given them access to.
