Description: Canary supports outgoing webhooks from the console to an endpoint of your choice. This event-driven approach means you get your alerts as they occur, instead of waiting to poll the server. We support your favourite apps such as Microsoft Teams and Slack. We also have a Generic option that can be used just as well.

Follow the steps below to enable and setup Webhooks for Microsoft Teams on your Canary console.

Step 1:

Login to your console.

Step 2:

Click on "Setup" to go to the Canary settings page.

Step 3:

Click on "Webhooks" from the menu.

Step 4:

Turn on "Webhook Incident Reporting".

Step 5:

Once turned on you can click on the "Microsoft Teams" tab and then click on "Add to MS Teams".

Step 6:

Log into your MS Teams account and create a new (or use an existing) Connector by following the below steps (you can also take a look at a more detailed guide here).

Step 7:

Add a connector to a room (we created a "Canary Alerts" room for all our alerts).

Step 8

Find "Incoming Webhook" and click on "Add".

Step 9

Give the Webhook an identifiable name, optionally upload an image, then click "Create".

Step 10

Copy the URL for the Webhook and click "Done".

Step 11:

Return to your Canary console and paste the URL that you copied under "Add your MS Teams URL here" and then click "Save".

Step 12:

Your alerts will now be pushed through to your MS Teams room.
