Description: To remove an old Canary completely from the Canary console.

Follow the steps below to decommission a Canary from your console.

Note: The device will be removed from your dashboard and will not be able to report new incidents. Old incidents are unaffected.

Step 1:

Login to your console.

Step 2:

Click on the Canary you want to decommission.

Step 3:

Then clicking on “Configuration” and then "Decommission".

Step 4:

You will then be asked to confirm that you would like to decommission this Canary.

Note: The device will be removed from your dashboard and will not be able to report new incidents. Old incidents are unaffected.

Step 5:

To complete the decommission process, tick the box to acknowledge that you will be removing the Canary from your Canary console and then click "Decommission device"

The Canary will now be removed from your Canary console and no longer appear on the dashboard.

NOTE: All Canaries which are newer than 2.1.1 will automatically shutdown after they are decommissioned.
